Two miles!

Hi!

rn

Today my husband and I walked two miles.  The spring flowers are out along the trail and the walk was really nice.  I made some chicken and cabbage soup.  Other than that I had a pretty quiet day.

rn

Have a nice evening everyone.  Hope you meet your goals!

Whole wheat bread

Hi everyone!

rn

I found a day old bread outlet, which has bread at a very good price.  The bread is bread  that is brought back from the trucks each day.  I went and picked up wheat bagels, 12 grain, and 7 grain bread, and a loaf of rye.  I bought enough for my husband and I, and I shared with my grown children.  They really liked the bread.

rn

The bread outlet isn’t close to my house, so I just get the bread there when I am in the general area.  The price in the stores are so much higher for bread that it is surprising how much if you add a loaf here and a loaf there.  I don’t eat that much bread, but like the quality of the bread.

rn

I hope all of you are well, and may all of you reach your goals!  Love yourselves meantime, and don’t feel unworthy just because you don’t feel perfect.  You all are great!  Remember that!

Bike Ride

Hi!

rn

Today I felt tired all day; just kind of sleepy.  So I decided I better get on the exercise bike and do my three miles, it took me 25 minutes and 48 seconds!  I have done it a little quicker, but today I was just happy to get it done.  I want to build my strength and endurance up, and not be as tired as I have been.

rn

Have a good evening everyone!  May all of you reach your goals!

Goodnight!

Goodnight Everyone!

rn

Sweet dreams.  I am going to bed soon, and wanted to tell everyone to take care of themselves.  My husband had the flu this week, and I have been busy taking care of him.  He seems to be doing  pretty well today, but I was worried about him.  He lost weight; five pounds!  He doesn’t even need to he is tall and slim.  I never lose weight, not even after surgery!  lol

rn

Take care.

Good morning!

How is everyone today?  I woke up early today.  I think  today will be a good day to go for a walk.  Yesterday was beautiful, but we had a cold spell last night.  I hope that it is a nice day  for walking.

rn

Just checking in.  Take care everyone.

Lose the guilt!

Hi Everyone!

rn

Today is a beautiful day, it makes you feel good just looking out the door.  Now to get out of the door.  lol   I see a lot of people here who are worried about that little bite of chocolate, or cookies.  The worst thing you can do is feel guilty about taking that little bite, or bigger.  Don’t worry about a little slip, just forget it, and continue on.

rn

Sunday my husband and I walked about 50 minutes.  The walk was really beautiful with the wild flowers blooming now.  I’d like to walk about three or four times a week.  I start out a little slow in the spring, and build up to a little brisker pace.

rn

Today my husband, who is retired, cooked us breakfast.  He loves to cook, and so do I.  He likes a heavier breakfast than I do.  Well, I like it, but try to stick to healthy cereals, and wheat toast.  He likes fried foods, which he makes, and they taste terrific, but I am worried about the calories in fried foods.  He is a foot taller, and slim, and I am shorter, and (fluffy) lol.  I am the health nut, and he isn’t, but he is slim and energetic.  Life is funny!

rn

Have a great day everyone!  Take care of yourselves.

Morning weight vs evening weight

This morning I weighed in, and according to my scale I weighed 175!  Yea!  I weighed myself when I started in the evening, so I don’t know which weight is correct.  I think I will take this mornings weigh-in.  lol  I didn’t have my shoes on, which is some weight.  Now my official weigh in will be in the morning.

rn

I am going to make up fruit and vegetable snacks, and put them in baggies.  When I get a snack attack I will have healthy snacks available.

rn

I remember my mother, a successful dieter would have carrot sticks, and celery sticks around.

rn

Good morning to all, and don’t let those lost pounds find you again.   lol

Starting a new diet!

Back to the drawing board.  I have to relearn all about dieting.  I basically cook pretty nutrious meals, but have to cut out the in between snacks.  Better yet get nutrious snacks.  I got a bunch of black grapes and rinsed them real well, and divided them up into snack size, and put them into baggies.  With the fruit being a good part of a diet they make good inbetween snacks. That satisfied my sweet tooth somewhat, and is good for me.  Today my husband brought home some tacos from taco bell.  I looked them up in my book (The Complete Food Counter)  I think they were okay to eat as long as they are counted in the total daily intake.

rn

I plan on doing three miles on my exercise bike.  I have it right in the livingroom near the TV.  If I put it anywhere else I probably wouldn’t use it as much.  It makes sense to have an exercise bike in a room called the livingroom.

rn

Have a great day everyone glad to be part of your wonderful group!

Hi!

I grew up the oldest of six children, and I have six grown children of my own.  I have always been around people.  Now all the children are gone, and my husband who is recently retired for the past two years is really into fishing, hunting, etc.  I am happy  for him, but that leaves me with too much time on my hands.  I generally keep busy, but sometimes I find myself eating when I feel lonesome.

rn

My younger sister died August 2004; she was only 51.  She had a husband and five children; two of the children are still young.  One is 12 and the other is 13.  I think I gained about ten pounds since then. They are in California, and I am clear across the country. For the past two days since I joined BuddySlim I felt like I have hope for some help. Thanks for reading this.

New kid on the block! lol

Hi,

rn

I joined yesterday, and I already feel skinnier.  lol  I am looking forward to losing weight with all of you.  I feel so positive about doing this.  I have dieted before, and successfully, but those sneaky pounds snuck up on me again.  Boo.

rn

I was in normal weight range until tragedy hit our family years ago.  My brother-in-laws wife and three children burnt up in a fire.  I did all the wrong things while grieving.  I started to eat comfort foods; I love sweets.  The weight came and went, but this time I want to chase the pounds away for good.

rn

                                                                           Yours truly,

rn
