Still here! lol

Hi Everyone!

I slept late today!  I had a big day Saturday, and it was fun.  I was sleepy yesterday, but did my exercise bike and isometrics.  This morning, or more accurately this afternoon I woke up, surprised that I slept so long, and did my regimen.  I ate a bowl of cereal, did some bike exercises for 3 miles and added another set  of isometrics.  I did 45 10 second stomach isometrics.  I want to be slimmer with a flat stomach.  There isn’t a new weight loss to report, but I am still working on it.  lol

I am going to visit with my two youngest daughters today.  I really want to take advantage of the sales right now, and get some clothes!  I know I am going to be smaller, but it isn’t if, but when?

My clothes are really comfortable, but I will need a whole new wardrobe when I get smaller.  I was pretty satisfied with my clothes, but I need some work on me.  lol

Organizing day

This morning while writing my journal I am planning my day.  I am counting all my calorie using my book, The Complete Food Counter, which is a great help.  Also I am using my exercise bike each day, and doing three sets of 10 isometrics for my stomach, while on the bike.

My grandsons are back home now, and I had a great week with them.

Up Early

Good morning everyone!

I am up way to early, and wide awake at the wrong time.  lol  My grandchildren are still sleeping of course.  I got up and made some green tea, and hope to get back to sleep before the little ones get up.  They are 10 and 7, but they are my little ones.  lol

Today my husband, my grandchildren and I are going to a family get together at my sons house.  He and my daughter-in-law generally have healthy food there, and some junk food for those who want it.  So it should be a really nice day.

I was going to do four miles on my exercise bike, but it was a little too much.  I have been trying to gradually move my exercise up a notch.  Three miles is perfect!  I did four miles two days in a row, and it felt like it was too much.

I am going to have a bowl of shredded wheat with a banana.  The rest of the day I am not sure what we will have, but I am going to be careful.

Dish Size

Hi Everyone!

My cousins wife had china that she had inherited from her mother, and grandmother.  We noticed that the dishes were smaller than the dishes that are made today.  This was over a year ago, but we decided to eat on smaller dishes.  For some reason when you have a plate in front of you it seems right to fill it up. Just a thought about dishes.

    I gave my grandsons cereal and milk for breakfast, and took them for a walk to get ice cream blizzards this afternoon.  They are slim, and could use the calories.  Tonight I am having chicken breasts, vegetables, and brown rice.  They are fishing now with their grandfather while I make dinner.  Grandchildren are good inventions!  lol

I was trying out my new food processor, and I had four big carrots.  I cleaned them, and put them in the food processor meaning to make carrot chips for snacks; instead I had the slicer turned the wrong way, and I made shredded carrots.  We felt like a snack at that time so we each had a bowl of shredded carrots. The shredded carrots would be good on salads.

My grandsons will be with us for about two more days.  Tomorrow we are going to a family cookout.  Sunday my daughter and son-in-law are going to pick them up.

Good morning

Hi Everone!

My sister-in-law and brother-in-law from Louisiana are going back home today.  We wemt out to dinner with them on Sunday, and last night.  They were eating healthy!  They didn’t even take rolls!  I think people want to be slim and healthy, but they forget how.

My daughter has been watching her weight, and having cherries set on the table each day for the family to eat first thing in the morning.  Yesterday morning I put a bowl of grapes out, and they were gone.  My grandsons are slim, but it doesn’t  hurt them to be learning good eating habits.

Last night I took my grandsons to a double feature at a nearby drive-in.  I took cheese curls, and gatorade.  I packed some chairs, and we sat outside for the first movie.  We watched the movie from inside the car for the second.

My grandsons that are here now are ages are 10 and 7, and it makes me so happy to be able to have them with me for a little while.  They are into a lot of physical activities that keep them from being able to visit more often.

More company

Last night my daughter from Virgina called, and asked if I wanted to watch my two grandsons for a few day!  Yea!  Of course I told her yes.  I just got a lot of fruit, and I think that they will like that.  I am off to my exercise bike, and a bowl of cereal, and a banana.  Catch you all later!

Today I went to the grocery store, and got more fruit.  The fruit is sure helping me to keep on track.  Nothing new to report today.  Just saying hi to everybody!  Good luck to all of you and stay on track!

Composition book

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday I bought some composition books at Staples.  They are .09  apiece when bought in packs of five.  School supplies are really reasonable now.

I added a mile to my exercise bike regimen, so I went 4 miles yesterday and today.  I wrote in the composition book food on one side of the page, and exercise on the other. The 4 miles burned 35 calories, and 11 fat calories.

I have the food all written in the book, and will calculate it later.

Feeding the cookie monster

Hi Everyone,

My cookie monster (ie husband) really gets cravings.  He is retired so he can go shopping and get all of the junk food that he wants.

rn

I have been loading up on fruits, and have been babying the cookie monster.  When I fix fruit for myself, I fix his.  When I get water for myself I get some for him.  This is helping both of us.  I would eat fruit, and when he would get hungry he would eat junk food.  I think that he may need calories, and was getting them via junk food.  He generally won’t eat the fruit unless it is fixed for him.  He has been exercising more than I have, but needed better eating habits as far as junk food was concerned.  We live near a drugstore, and a convenience store, and when his snack attack would come on he would get a lot of junk food.  This was hard for me to be around.

Last night he decided to not eat after 6 o’clock, which I am happily going along with.  He exercized this morning, and I gave him 10 cherries for a snack.  I think that the fruit is waylaying his snack attacks.  Last night I gave him a glass of ice water which contained two cups of ice water, while I had mine.  He gets really hungry at night.

Well now so far I have a buddy to help here.  lol

Feeling Slimmer

Yesterday my day was again unexpectedly changed.  My son came here to pick up his car at a garage near us, and he needed some help taking the second car back home.  So my husband and I went with him.  Then he wanted to take us to his country club for dinner.  There were a lot of healthy choices, and along with it many bad ones.

I ordered the salmon with spinach fettucini alfredo, with Italian tomato soup.  I ate the soup, and the salmon, and just took a little of the fettucini.  When the day was done I felt good about my choices.

My husband and my son said they could notice how well I am doing.  I feel like I am getting  down where I want to be.
