Exercise

Hi Everyone,

rn

I just want to say that I am so happy that I have been exercising, when I was at my great newphews birthday party, with many people of all ages.  I know I have to lose more weight, but I felt so good about myself.  I think that all of you that are exercising know what I mean.  When you look around, and you see people in various stages of fitness you realize how far you have come.  On a day to day basis you think same ol same ol, but when you go around people you haven’t seen for awhile, it is a great feeling to be getting toward your goal.

rn

This morning I made Oatmeal, rode my exercise bike three miles.  I went to the grocery store, and picked up oranges and yogurt, and broth for some soups I plan on making.

rn

Have a great day!  Take care all!

Going to party

Hi Everyone,

rn

Tonight my husband and I are going to my great-nephews 18th birthday party.  His dad is having it catered.    I will be staying with my sister and brother-in-law.  Then tomorrow my husband and I will be helping my youngest daughter move into a new home.  So we are going to be busy this weekend.  I will have to catch up on your blogs when I get home.

rn

This morning I ate a bowl of oatmeal, and rode the exercise bike for three miles.  So I am going to go get ready to be gone for a couple of days.

rn

Take care everyone.  Have a great weekend.

Good morning

rn

Hi Everyone,

rn

This morning I am started on my routine of same ol’ same ol’.  That is good.  The ab-doer is doing it’s job as far as my back is concerned.  When I went to Virginia this time, which is a four and a half hour trip, my back felt much stronger.

rn

Today I have my agenda planned, which is eating breakfast, doing three miles on my exercise bike, and doing the ab-doer.

rn

Thanks for all your nice comments I really appreciate them.  I am going to be checking all of your journals, and catch up with all of you.  I think all of you are doing so good.  Pat yourself on the back!

rn

Have a great day!

Prevention magazine

Hi Everyone,

rn

While I was in Virginia I went grocery shopping with my daughter.  While going through the checkout a little Prevention guide caught my eye.  The title was SlowCooker.  There are a lot of healthy recipes for slow cookers that look absolutely delicious.

rn

I did two minutes on the elliptical with the knee braces on, and my knees were okay.  I stopped because my blood pressure has been a little high for a couple of days.  I am going to do the exercise bike, and the ab-doer.   I didn’t do the ab-doer yesterday as I had planned, because I was still tuckered out from the trip.  lol

rn

This morning I made my oatmeal with raisins, and I have Salmon Soup defrosting in the refrigerator.  I am going to have soup for lunch, and plan dinner.  I have been looking at the recipes from the SlowCooker recipes, and I think I am going to make one of those dinners.  I haven’t decided yet.  The meals look so satisfying, and yet tasty, with calories in mind.

rn

Take care everyone!  Have a great day!

I’m back

Hi Everyone,

rn

My husband and I got back from Virginia last night.  I watched as much as possible on the trip, and I walked with my husband and daughter.

rn

This morning I got a slow start, but a start none-the-less.  I made oatmeal with raisins added, then got on the exercise bike, and went three miles.  A little later I am going to go on the ab-doer.  I bought some knee supports for when I try the elliptical again.  My knees are okay, but they complain when I am on the elliptical.  I don’t want to injure them, and I think that the knee supports will help.  I really want to try the elliptical.

rn

I hope all of you have a great day!  Take care.

Hi from Virginia!

rn

Hi Everyone!

rn

I am having a great time visiting with our daughter, and family.  Our grandson is a senior in high school, and a football player.  We went to his game.  The opposing team won 20 to 16, but the game was really close.  My grandson did so great!  I am so proud of him, he is a powerhouse.  Next year he will be playing football for the University of Virginia.  He played so hard, and I believe the score woud have been much higher if he hadn’t have played.  I am generally not a football fan, but have watched some.  He is so powerful now I can only imagine  how he will be when he is fully matured.  He is awesome!  Do I sound like a proud grandmother?  lol

rn

When he was four months old he was doing situps, and when he was eleven months old he got into the bottom drawer and got two iron skillets, and walked from the kitchen, through the dining room, into the livingroom, and lifted the frying pan and handed it to me

rn

My mother said that he was the most powerful baby she ever saw, and she had 25 grandchildren.  I think he is going to be a star someday! lol

More about Salmon soup

Hi Everyone,

rn

Yesterday I gave you a recipe for Salmon soup, it turned out pretty good.  I didn’t have dill, a spice I haven’t used before so I made the soup without it.  The soup needed something, it was okay, but I tried putting a chicken boullion cube in it, and walla, the taste was good.  The soup was light, and I think the chicken boullion took the fishy taste out of it.

rn

I started my day early today.  I made oatmeal with raisins added, and am getting ready to exercise.

rn

I did the ab-doer yesterday, and I feel like my back and  mid-section is getting stronger.  My husband said that his lower back is feeling better also since he has been doing abdominal exercises.

rn

Take care everyone, and thanks again for all your kind comments.

Still here lol

Hi Everyone!

rn

I am a planner, so we are still here getting ready for our trip.  I am only going for a couple of days, but am considering this a mini-vacation.

rn

This morning I rode the exercise bike three miles, and did the ab-doer.

rn

I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, and am trying a new recipe for Salmon soup.  The soup is really easy to make, and I will let you know how it tastes.  I like Salmon patties, and this is a recipe using canned salmon.

rn

Four cups of liquid:  water and the liquid from the canned salmon

rn

Two carrots

rn

One onion

rn

Pinch of salt, and a pinch of pepper

rn

It called for Dill and a turnip, and I don’t have them so I am making the soup without it.  I think it will be okay.  This recipe is simple, and I think if you like salmon, and are in a hurry this recipe would be okay.  I will let you know how it turns out.

rn

Have a great day!

Travel

Hi Everyone,

rn

My husband and I have been exercising almost every day.  We seldom miss a day.  We are getting ready to visit my daughter that lives in Virginia.  Her boy, my oldest grandson plays football.  We are going to go see his game.  We will take our exercise tapes and use the ab-doer that we gave her while we are there, and walk with her.  I am excited about the trip, and have been packing a lot of little things, plus the kitchen sink.  lol

rn

All of you have a great week!

New Scale

rn

My new scale says I weigh more.  I didn’t gain weight, but put down what the new scale said.  My old scale still says I lost 20, but the new scale disagrees.  I thought I want to be accurate so I put the new scale weight on here.  Oh well!  I still am happy about losing 20 pounds whether the number is different on the new scale or not.  I am still the same according to the old scale.  I am not going to worry about it.

rn

I did the exercise on the exercise bike today, and I went three miles.  I do a lot of going up and down stairs, which I don’t count as exercise, but it is a lot. I tried the elliptical again this morning, and I can do okay on it except for my knees.  My husband wears knee braces when he exercises on the elliptical, and I might try that.  The exercises are easy, it is just my knees that complain.

rn

I am happy with myself, and I am being careful.  The results I am looking for are coming; I feel better, and look better.

rn

Have a great day everyone; take care.
