Cookies go to the garage

Hi Everybody!

rn

Christmas season is over, and my son-law, who fell down the stairs and broke four ribs, is getting better.  Meantime we had cookies here that we bought in anticipation of the family coming here.  Today I smelled the cookies, and almost took one.  I have been having a couple of cookies a day lately.  So I was going to throw them away, but my husband asked me to take them out to our garage.  So the cookies are out in the garage, and out of my sight.  lol

My husband just acquired a para-body 350 complete home workout system from freecycle.  Today he is putting it together in our basement.  We have a gym in our house that would compete with any gym.  People really give away a lot of workout equipment when they aren’t interested in working out anymore.  freecycle.org is where to go if your interested in getting rid of things, or looking for things.

Have a great day!

Blessings at Christmas

Hi Everyone,

rn

DH and I have been preparing for Christmas.  We bought all of the presents for all of our children and grandchildren.  Our daughter from Virginia was supposed to be here for the weekend, but her husband, who is a teacher, fell down the stairs headfirst and broke four ribs.  He is home from the hospital now, and is in pain, but he is recovering.  I am so thankful that my daughter has a husband, and her three children still have their daddy.  Life is always having unexpected turns.

rn

May all of you have a happy blessed holiday.

Weight and Bacteria

Hi Everyone,

rn

I just read an article in Yahoo about a new study that suggests that weight may be linked with bacteria.  The article is called, “Scientists link weight to gut bacteria.”  This is very interesting.

rn

Take care everyone.

Cooking styles

Hi Everyone,

rn

Now that my husband is home he is competing with me in the kitchen.  I defrosted some pork chops, and I found a good recipe that I could cook them in the crockpot.  So my husband decided he was going to fry his pork chops.  I cooked the two pork chops that I had in the crockpot.  I took all the fat from them, sprinkled them with garlic powder, a diced onion, and a small can of diced tomatoes on the top, and sprinkled with oregano.  The smell was great, and my husband really liked the smell of the pork chops, and so he decided to have one.  The pork chops tasted really good.  Then the pork chops that he was supposed to cook waited a couple of days for him to fry them.  He offered to share, but I didn’t want to eat fried pork chops with fat on them.

My eating this week has not been up to par, and I need to get to the grocery store.  The weather here has been so cold.

My husband surprised me yesterday, and bought a new computer for me for Christmas.  The other one was okay, but this one is great, it took all my programs, which my other computer didn’t.  I have some really good health programs that I wasn’t able to use on my other computer.  New computers are so nice.  This computer has 120 Gigabytes.  I put a lot of programs on, and it still has a ton of memory.

rn

I hope all of you are keeping warm, and are happy.  Take care.

Time is flying

Hi Everyone,

rn

This past week I spent time with my sister-in-law who is in the last stages of cancer.  Our husbands were hunting, and I dropped everything, and entertained her.  We went to lunch everyday.  Two years ago she was diagnosed with cancer, and the next week my sister was diagnosed with cancer.  My sister passed away last year.

rn

When we went out to eat I was trying to be very careful, and found that some places are catering to people with nutrition on their minds.

rn

On Thursday I had a tooth removed that had a root that had cracked right in half.  Friday I went to my youngest daughters birthday party.  My week was pretty busy, but Saturday I bought some bananas,  liquid vitamins, and minerals.  I want to get down to 150 by New Years.  I don’t know if I will do it, but will continue to watch my nourishment and exercise needs, if it happens great, and if not I will remain healthy.

rn

I hope all of you reach your goals!  Take care.
