Friends visit
Hi Everyone,
I haven’t been journaling lately, but I have established habits of exercise and eating, that are sticking with me.
I had a friend that I hadn’t seen in years call me, and she didn’t know about my husbands accident. We talked for awhile, and I invited her to visit. She came last week to visit me, and without thinking I was automatically following the regimen that I had developed here. My friend visited, and I ate like I did on a daily basis. She ate at the same time as I did, and ate what she wanted. We didn’t have snacks, or junk food, etc. I didn’t even think of getting junk food for entertainment. Anyway; we had a very nice visit, and later that week she called to tell me she lost two pounds while she was visiting me. lol She was very happy about losing two pounds. I had to laugh at myself, because I didn’t know whether I was a good host or a bad one. My friend noticed the lifestyle that I had, and at the time I wasn’t actually concentrating too hard on it. The point of my mentioning this is for motivation. Good habits of eating and exercising may actually be hard at first, but after a time it seems as if you go into automatic; at least it has been that way for me.
I was standing at the counter at the senior citizens center (I was a volunteer to serve the bread that day) I noticed that the slimmer senior citizens were refusing the white bread that was being served that day. I eat bread, but try to stick to whole grain wheat bread.
My puppy is a ball of energy, and keeps me really busy. I have been getting up early with her, and playing with her. She is really active. I take her mostly everywhere I go, and she is getting socialized. Her mother was only six pounds and thin, and her father was twenty pounds, and a little chubby. She is taking after her father, but looks like she will be more muscular, with all the exercise she gets. My puppies parents lived in a second floor apartment and the parent dogs didn’t get much exercise. I am glad that my puppy isn’t as going to be as frail as the mother dog, and a little big huskier like the father dog. The puppy definitely is not a couch potato right now. lol
Well enough trivia. All of you have a great day! Take care.
Luella
