Lots of rain!

Hi Everyone!

Hope all of you are well, and achieving your goals.

This afternoon I took my dog Chickee on a walk on the trail nearby.  She loves the trail, and is always ready to go with me.  It has been raining a lot, but I went anyway, and took an umbrella.  I had almost reached a mile, when it started lightning, and thundering.  I turned around, and it really started to pour.  I picked up Chickee, and went back as fast as I could.  Chickee only weighs seventeen pounds, but she was a load.  When we got home I raced her to the house.  lol  We both got wet even though I had an umbrella with me.

As far as food goes I think I am not doing too bad.  I am raising a mini garden.  I have two tomato plants, and two green pepper plants, and lettuce.  My daughter went into the hospital right when the lettuce was ready to eat, and it went to seed.  Now the lettuce is up to my waist.  I planted several varieties so I could have interesting salads.  I have to say I have never seen lettuce so high.  lol  The bees have been busy pollinating the flowers, so I have a gazillion lettuce seeds.

It has been a year now that my cookie monster has passed.  I have been keeping busy.

This afternoon I went to a health screening that checks you for plaque in the arteries of the neck, limbs, and stomach.  The results will be mailed to me.  I have had a lot of exercise walking Chickee, and I am hoping that my arteries are doing well.  I expect that they should be with all of the exercise I get.  Maybe not perfect, but not too bad.

It is thundering out again.  Wow!  We sure are getting a lot of rain.  I have not had to water my little garden all summer.

I hope all of you are okay.

Take care.

Nice to hear from you!! Chickee sounds so cute! I have a little dog, too, “Boots”. I love hearing about your garden, wish I had one, but can’t in an apartment. Good luck with your tests results!

Hi. Glad to know the grief is getting easier to bear. My honey died two and half years ago and I still miss him terribly BUT I am learning to live alone. I had a little dog named Bebe and she was such a joy to me. They will get you out and about whether you have planned for it or not. Best thing in the world for me. I live in a small apartment now but miss having a dog. Take care of yourself. “Life does go on I forget just why.” Marge
